Misc sketches for my works. May contain spoilers for pretty much everything I make. Most of these can be found in zines on my itch.io as well. Click on each drawing to get some background info on each piece.
2024 is off to a good start. I'm feeling refreshed and ready to take on the world art wise. I'm trying to focus more on animation, full illustrations, and getting my style to be a little stronger.
Had to do a sketch of Floris because I don't draw enough of him thanks to being in the prologue right now. He's feeding a pigeondrake, a breed of minidragon that was domesticated by mages to deliver mail, be pets, be helper animals for the disabled...and were sometimes food and alchemical ingredients. The royal family has a special breed that can use advanced wind magic.

Another spirit that appears in the prologue. I'm going for a water/fire/earth/wind theme for now just to get things started. Neighbors use mimicry to get past people's radar, so it's common for people with magic potential to see one but mistake it for something else. It uses a magic-infused pearl to cast spells, mostly spells around manipulating the sea to its liking.
This is a sylph for the VN-when you press "p," Luana can pierce the veil and see her friends from the other side, these little guys included. They're modeled after a honeycreeper. The yellow on them is a mixture of their actual color and pollen from rummaging inside of flowers for the nectar. They're always caked in it, so people sneeze when they fly by-neighbors are also key pollinators in springtime. Its a little off center since I drew it a bit too high, but when it appears in the vn it won't matter because of the transparency.
I went ahead and redesigned Calisto, who needed a less generic design...plus his character has changed and I wanted to reflect that in his clothing more. He's still somewhat easygoing, but he also takes his work seriously and is actually not super keen on Luana when they first meet from his sixth sense about non-humans. I went with an eagle/coatl motif to match Yolotli's jaguar motif, since mages in Lucero evoke Quetzalcoatl vs. Tezcatlipoca in their factions, as opposed to Tovera's sun vs moon, man vs nature kinda vibe. They earn feathers and the right to dress as sacred animals just like their warrior ancestors did, except it's about physical prowess AND magical prowess.
A piece for the main visual novel, TLGotH. These are Luana's brownie (and koropurkkur) friends that she became buddy buddy with when she came back to the human realm. Leftmost is Basil, middle is Naiporo, rightmost is Ringo. Basil and Ringo are not their true names, but they've given up on that kind of thing a long ass time ago.
People on Tumblr want to see more characters across the universe, so I'm drawing more Arc 1 stuff these days as I develop the prologue. I call this one "Under His Anxious Gaze." Vivianus is pretty worried that Floris is falling for a bad girl...y'know, the kind that wear pants and don't straighten their nappy hair.
2023 I really focused on the prologue, so there's a lot of Luana and blues and yellows. This was also the year I experiemented with other mediums, unsatisfied with the webserial format, until I settled on a visual novel...we'll see how long this VN venture lasts.
A piece for OC Rose Magazine. One of the few illustrations I got done this year. It really helped me get out of an art rut. It depicts Luana in her changeling form, though since then I've updated the design.
The cover to my fancomic, a crackship/what if for Awakening. Brings back old characters other than Tiki, and rewrites some less than stellar aspects of the worldbuilding and characters in my opinion. Of course, I haven't finished a single page as of November of 2023, but I'd like to start it proper in 2024.
Finished early this year, I sketched it last December and finished it early January. This was made for when it was a novel, reformatted for the webmanga, and now it's just extra art, since as of 2023, Tovera Chronicles: The Little Guild on the Hill is a VN...and this makes for a not so great title screen. That, and it's not to my standards anymore.

Fullbody art of Luana, the protagonist of the TLGotH saga. She's a changeling, though she left for the fairy realm on her own accord. Now she's back in the mortal realm, and ready to rumble...but whether the world is ready for her or not is what she's about to find out. I had to edit her face, as her eyebrow used to be off before I did, so this is actually the improved version.

Fullbody art of Nikalao, a supporting cast member in the TLGotH saga. He's a homeless boy with a talent for Theurgy, a tale as old as time and something Luana can relate to, as she too was once homeless and relied on magic to get by. He's a tough cookie, but like all living things, becomes more like someone his age should be as he's given some care and attention. He's the adopted son of a cait sidhe-who likes to sit on his shoulder and help him survive the streets.

Fullbody art of the Verdant Lady, a supporting cast member in the TLGotH saga. She's a fairy that survived from the Mythological Cycle (aka when the Tuathe De ruled Ireland, called Ierene/Eireann in universe proper) to now somehow. She's on vacation at the time of the prologue, but neighbor and mortal alike can tell she's kinda going through it. It was hard to balance a wild look with elegance, but using the Morrigan as a basis for how she'd look was how I nailed her design down.

A quick piece I made when I got the urge to paint something, go back to my Colors!3d days, and test out eye strain kind of art. It's inspired by something Miguel and a few other characters kinda try and beat into Floris' pretty head as he pursues Luana romantically. We all want to save our loved ones, but all we can do is give them the support we can.

Misc illustrations and sketches from 2022. Not much was done this year thanks to academics getting in the way.
Not much art was done this year, as it was a rough one for me. However, the Fox of the Obsidian Mirror was my first illustration in a long time, and helped me finally get my art groove back somewhat.
